1. PHYSICAL THERAPY
Many people, when they think of physical therapy, think of massage and exercise. Although these are definite components, physical therapy is much broader. The Rehab Resource Physical Therapists have a medical background. They study etiology (origin of injury/disease), pathology and treatment (surgical and non-surgical) of dysfunctions that affect the musculoskeletal system.
The Rehab Resource physical therapists are licensed professional who are experts in musculoskeletal dysfunctions. They are trained to analyze movement and identify abnormal mechanics. From this assessment they will treat a dysfunction with manual skills that will accelerate the recovery process. To enhance this treatment, the therapist will design a specific exercise program that the patient may execute independently.
2. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY & HAND THERAPY
OT in general looks at how a person can function in their environment and where problems are seen, the therapist can assist the patient to use adaptive techniques or devices to remain as independent as possible. In the area of Hand Therapy, Occupational therapists have specialized in their knowledge of the upper extremity, and can use modalities, range of motion, splinting and exercises to help the patient regain functional use of their extremity. Occupational therapists also look at activities of daily living, and can provide devices to make every day tasks easier in the areas of work, such as ergonomic information/tools, home tasks, such as jar openers, zipper pulls and shoe laces.

Massage therapy is the assessment and manipulation of soft tissues and joints of the body to effect a therapeutic response in the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction. It can be preventive or restorative, helping to maintain, rehabilitate, augment physical function or relieve pain. Massage therapy has firmly established its role as a clinically-oriented health option used to relieve a variety of discomforts because it achieves undeniable results.
