Who pays for treatment?

In most cases your health insurance will cover your treatment. Click on our insurance link for a summary of insurances that we participate with. However, feel free to call our office directly for any additional insurance information.

What is my co-pay?
Some insurance companies require you to pay a certain amount at each visit. This is called your co-pay. Your co-pay will be collected on your arrival at each visit.

 

What is a deductible?
Some insurance companies require you to pay a certain amount before your insurance company begins payment. When you see practitioners in network there is usually no deductible. Check your insurance contract for further details.

What is co-insurance?
Co-insurance is the percentage that your policy requires you to pay of the contracted amount. We will bill you for your co-insurance amount once we determine what your carrier allows.

Do I need a referral for therapy?
Your insurance company may require you to obtain a referral from you Primary Care Physician in addition to your specialist referral/prescription. We advise you to contact your insurance company regarding their specific requirements prior to your therapy visit.

Do I need a prescription for therapy?
Yes! The prescription from your doctor will indicate the diagnosis and the frequency of treatment. These prescriptions need to be renewed by the doctor every thirty days.

What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your insurance cards, drivers license, the doctor’s referral and/or prescription, payment for your copay. Download the registration forms on our website and fill them out. This will minimize the paperwork at your initial visit.

How long will my appointments be?
The first appointment will take the longest due to the initial evaluation. The subsequent appointment will generally 45 minutes to one hour.

Will therapy hurt?
Our philosophy is a kinder, gentler therapy. We try our utmost to keep therapy as pain free as possible.

Who will treat me?
All of our therapists are credentialed as Certified Therapists and all of our physical therapists are credentialed.Rest assured, you are in good hands.

What will be the duration and frequency of treatment?
Each individual injury or condition necessitates a specific treatment plan. The duration and frequency are based on recommendation of the physician

What will my therapy consist of?
Your therapy is divided into an evaluation (a thorough assessment of your injury and symptoms), hands on manual therapy, modalities (moist heat, electric stimulation, ultrasound, and traction), muscle reeducation, strengthening, and a home program.
